GRE

The GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) layer encapsulates an inner IP/L2 flow in GRE over an outer IP header. Create the profile under Library → Network Tunnels and select it from the plugin's Network Tunnels group.

Table — GRE Layer Parameters

NameDescriptionValue
Local IPOuter source IP of the GRE tunnelLocal-end address
Remote IPOuter destination IPPeer/DUT address
Outer IP parametersTTL, ToS, and related outer-header fieldsAccording to testbed requirements

GRE can be combined with VLAN or IPsec in one library object; layer order determines which is outermost. To generate bulk raw GRE traffic without a library profile, use the separate GRE Flood Data Plane plugin. GRE Flood is a flood scenario, not a tunnel profile.
