DNS over TCP/TLS/HTTP (legacy)

Status: DNS over TCP (34), DNS over TLS (35), DNS over HTTP (36), and DNS over UDP (12) are disabled (disabled) in the product dictionary and are not displayed in the constructor catalog. This section is retained for reference. For current DNS load testing, use DNS Flood (109) and DNS Amplification (UDP) (107).

The DNS over TCP, DNS over TLS, and DNS over HTTP plugins were used to test DNS infrastructure over different transports.

  • DNS over TCP establishes a TCP session and carries DNS queries within it.
  • DNS over TLS adds TLS and is suitable for testing secure DNS resolvers.
  • DNS over HTTP carries DNS queries over HTTP/HTTPS and supports DoH testing scenarios.
