Access Groups Walkthrough

  1. Open the task and select the Access Groups tab.
  2. Create a group: select the agent, interface, and access type (IPoE, PPPoE, or 802.1X).
  3. On the Sessions tab, specify the session count, start/stop rate, start delay, and max outstanding.
  4. Configure VLAN/Q-in-Q (outer/inner, step, and TPID) and, if required, the Access Line parameters (Circuit ID, Remote ID, and rate).
  5. For IPoE, enable DHCP/DHCPv6 or SLAAC. For PPPoE, configure discovery, PPP authentication (PAP/CHAP), and IPCP/IP6CP.
  6. If required, add L2TP LNS, LACP LAG, an STP instance, OpenFlow, or gPTP on the corresponding tabs.
  7. Save the task. When the task starts, access sessions are established before the Data Plane load begins (agent readiness/measurement-ready model).
