Logs

Logs and events provide immediate task diagnostics. Metrics describe a scenario numerically, while logs and events explain what happened during execution: which agents participated, which protocols came up, where negotiation failed, and which actions the user or system performed.

Execution Logs

The Logs tab displays the task execution log. It supports text search, filtering by agent, log-level selection, log download, content copying, and automatic scrolling to the latest messages. Use logs to confirm task startup, troubleshoot configuration errors, analyze session failures, and verify scenario completion.

When analyzing logs, check Error messages first, and then review informational messages from the relevant agent. If a task uses several planes at once, such as Data Plane and Control Plane, filtering by agent helps separate network events from traffic-generation errors.

Control Plane and Access Scenario Events

Events record protocol and session state changes: adjacency establishment or loss, BGP/LDP/OSPF/IS-IS state transitions, multicast, OAM, L2VPN, access-session, and tunnel events. Use them together with metrics to identify not only the final counter value but also when the state changed.

For Control Plane scenarios, check the sequence of adjacency and signaling events. For access scenarios, pay attention to authentication and address-assignment stages: session startup, DHCP/PPPoE/802.1X exchange, IP parameter acquisition, and session termination.
