v2.0
Released December 19, 2025
New features
Documentation
- The administrator guide is now available as Markdown on the documentation site, in addition to PDF
- Published 200 GbE performance results for version 2.0. View the benchmarks
- Published general REST API documentation in Swagger. REST API documentation is available only after client authentication; contact your supplier for details
Traffic-generation platform
- Added server-agent functionality. The platform can now emulate both client requests and server responses to sender agents and other peers. Server agents support the same plugins as client agents and provide the same configuration flexibility
- Added a DHCPv4 client that obtains agent IP addresses before traffic generation begins
- Added VLAN tagging to the Source tab of plugin settings
- Added VXLAN tagging to the Source tab and integrated it with VLAN configuration
- Added IPsec connection establishment
- Added a network-attack emulation plugin for CVEs with a database updated through the file system, a proxy, or directly from the Peresvet ST server through the management system. The database is updated daily and contained more than 15,000 network attacks at the time of release. Users can configure the plugin in the web interface by selecting vulnerability categories and publication years and reviewing each proof of concept in detail
- Added File Transfer over HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, TLS 1.2, and TLS 1.3. Peresvet ST does not limit transfer size, enabling tests of streams exceeding 100 Gbit/s. File Transfer also supports malicious-file lists; the daily updated database contained more than 500,000 malware samples at the time of release
- Added PCAP Replay for importing PCAP files and replaying them with L2/L3 header replacement and detailed control over the number of established TCP connections
- Added HAR Simulation for importing browser-captured HTTP archives and converting them into realistic applications
- Added application emulation (emix) based on PCAP Replay and HAR Simulation
- Added routing-protocol emulation, available from the CLI at release and planned for the web interface in Q1 2026: BGP4/BGP4+, OSPFv2/v3, IS-IS v4/v6, BFD, PIM-SM/SSM, IGMP/MLD, MPLS LDP, MPLS Segment Routing, L3VPN/6VPE, EVPN/VXLAN, LDP L2VPN (PWE/VPLS), and BGP VPLS/VPWS
- Added RoCEv2 emulation with PFC and DCQCN configuration for both client and server agents
Web interface
- Added PDF, CSV, and HTML report export
- Added JSON task-configuration import and export
Improvements
Traffic-generation platform
- Revised MAC-address configuration. MAC addresses now apply to every task type instead of stateless tasks only, and can be configured independently for sender and receiver agents
- Added support for testing terminating devices such as load balancers that terminate TCP/TLS connections and then forward traffic to a server agent
- Added more than 200 SSL ciphers, including all GOST TLS ciphers, legacy SSLv3/TLS 1.0 ciphers, and null ciphers
- Added previously unavailable DDoS attacks: ICMP Flood, ICMP fragmentation, Ping of Death Flood, user-configurable UDP amplification, UDP fragmentation, and DNS Flood over UDP
Web interface
- Added reusable library entries to many plugin settings. The new Library section contains networks for client agents, server agents, and external receivers; VLAN and VXLAN settings; TLS certificates; lists and conditions for mutable plugin fields such as HTTP headers and query parameters that previously used macros; CVE records with proof-of-concept details; and malware-file records
The update is currently available only to users of the Peresvet ST hardware appliance. The virtual-machine update is planned for Q1 2026.
