v1.0

Daniil Bobryshev

Released May 26, 2025

Available features

Core platform

  • A full-featured, multicore network traffic generation platform that scales to hundreds of millions of packets per second with configurable plugins:
    • HTTP, including TLS 1.2, TLS 1.3, HTTP/1.1, and HTTP/2 with per-stream configuration
    • WAF, including configurable Basic and Advanced test methods built on the HTTP plugin
    • Multiple DDoS attack simulations, including various TCP and UDP floods

Plugin-based architecture

  • TCP plugins: SYN, ACK, FIN, RST, PSH, and XMAS floods and their combinations
  • HTTP plugins: complete HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 support with configurable headers, methods, and request bodies
  • Configurable TCP parameters: MSS, window scale, window size, and sequence numbers
  • Configurable IP parameters: TTL, ToS/DSCP, ECN, and packet identifiers
  • Custom-data support: including Base64-encoded payloads such as UDP Flood payload data
  • Fine-grained configuration of nearly every L2–L7 parameter, either per plugin or globally

Metrics and monitoring

  • More than 90 metrics for each active plugin, plus global metrics for every task
  • ClickHouse integration for real-time metric storage and analysis
  • Latency measurement: TCP handshake, TLS handshake, TTFB (Time to First Byte), TTLB (Time to Last Byte), and more
  • Task management: every executed task is retained for later review, including its metrics

Performance

  • A custom TCP/IP stack built on DPDK to deliver more than 100 Gbit/s on 1U platforms, with flexible distribution of sessions and packets across cores and threads
  • A packet scheduler for efficient network traffic processing

Agent architecture

  • The sender agent is available now with extensive capabilities
  • The receiver agent is planned to emulate server responses and provide additional statistics
  • Distributed architecture with primary/secondary process support

Web interface and administration

  • Every feature is available through the web interface (the controller)
  • The controller provides fine-grained group configuration:
    • Every user must belong to a group
    • Groups can have different system-access restrictions
    • For example, a group can be configured as view-only
  • API access to every feature exposed through the web interface

Networking

  • VLAN support and multiple network interfaces
  • Configurable MAC addresses and automatic MAC-table management
  • IPv4 support, with IPv6 planned
  • PCAP packet capture for detailed analysis

This is the first commercial release of our traffic-generation platform. We continue to develop new features and improvements.
